I WAS ON A 2 YEAR HIATUS

Hello all my dear followers, sorry I have not been very active on my blog, but have been going through a rough patch in my life for past 19 months.

Still Learning To Simplify My Technique To Making The Sleep Mats And Have Recently Taught Myself To Crochet. I Think I'm Finally Getting Good At It And So Far I Am Working On This Mat And Hope To Get Back Into My Groove And Complete More Mats As The Days Go On. Peace Be With You All.

Dropping Off Mats

Here I am dropping off some mats at our local shelter [Broadway Place] I found out later in the day, that they were handed out with-in minutes after I dropped them off. I'm so glad to hear that our homeless will be able to sleep on a dry ground through our Spring thaw.

Three Sleep Mats Ready To Go

I made these three myself and am right now finishing off the one the school kids helped make. They got a few panels done and I just need to add a couple more, then it will be ready to go next. I also started making these cute little pillows from the plastic scraps that I cut from the bags.
I just stuff them into a bag, poke a couple small
holes to vent it and Ta Da!

"Care Packs" Made Over The Years

These are just some of the Care Packs I've made over the past 2 1/2 years. I really enjoy making the Christmas ones and always get such great donations of mitts, toiletries, etc. from our local drug stores and gift certificates from our fast food places. Extra Foods & Safeway always makes sure I have plenty of candy canes to add at Christmas and other sweets during the other holidays. Thank you so much to my supporters.

Everyone Deserves To Have A Christmas

I believe we all deserve to open a gift at Christmas and I got to make that happen for a second year in a row to our homeless here in Smithers BC Canada. The best gift I got in return, were the HUGS from each person that received these packages.
